Art
Resource
Art Gallery of Swift Current is a community-based resource for education. We
invite you and your students to the Art Gallery to participate in educational
tours and hands-on workshops. With the help of our professional staff, you can
use Art exhibitions to enhance several areas of the school curriculum, including
Social Studies, Language Arts, Science, and Visual Art.
Discovery Tours: All Grades
Fee: no charge - “Learning to look, looking to learn” is the underlying
concept of this guided exploration. The Discovery Tour of an art exhibition engages
participants in inquiry and investigation. Tours are designed to help fulfill
your curriculum needs. Indicate what your class is studying so the tour can be
planned to make valuable links to classroom experiences. Tours are conducted by
the Education Coordinator and/or guest facilitators. They last about 45 minutes
and include age-appropriate interactive activities.
