Since 2000, Art Gallery of Swift Current has offered its patrons a series of Coffeehouse Evenings throughout the year. These educational and entertaining evenings feature visiting artist talks and tours through the Gallery exhibition. Coffeehouse Evenings usually have a local musical performance as well. The Art Gallery of Swift Current offers a great venue with a visually stimulating setting, good acoustics, and a great atmosphere. The Gallery Lobby is converted with a stage, high quality sound system, and round tables with linens. The Conference Room holds a full cash bar, musician merchandise sales area and delicious hors d'oevres.
On selected Saturdays at 10:30 am, the public is invited to a Guided Tour of the exhibition with Art Gallery of Swift Current Curator, Kim Houghtaling, and exhibition artists when available. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served.
