Learn how to mix colors, make your own colour chart, use glue gel to create designs, and create a project with the materials you make. NOTE: Wear old clothes and shoes.

Polymer Clay Jewellery (Adults) Fee $60
Four Mondays 6:30 to 8:30 pm. September 13 to October 4.
Design and build polymer clay beads and components for a whole set of personalized jewellery. Choose either flower and leaf cane motif or mokume gane design. Learn finishing techniques and jewellery construction for earrings, brooch, bracelet and necklace.

Digital Photography 1, Beginner (Adults) Fee $20
Wednesday, September 22. Choose either 1:00 to 3:00 pm or 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
A hands-on class on taking better photos. Learn about the most common modes on a digital camera, how to compose a good photo, how to focus properly, the importance of white balance, and answers to your specific questions. For the more advanced compact digital camera user. Learn about different modes, white balance, correctly using flash, ISO, and how to choose the best lens for you. Bring your camera, its instruction manual, and any lenses you have questions about.

Traditional Stained Glass (Adults) Fee $145
Two-day workshop Saturday & Sunday, October 2 & 3, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Create a stained glass panel using the leading technique. This class will cover all steps from pattern preparation to finishing your piece. All materials and tools are provided to make a panel 22” x 13 ½”, in your choice of colours. New students are welcome. Bring your lunch. Instructor: Elaina Adams, Prairie Glass

Eight Tuesdays, 7:00 to 9:00pm. Starts October 5.
Learn drawing fundamentals that you can use in any creative work, from cartoons to fabric design.

Acrylic Painting (Adults) Fee $150
Eight Wednesdays 7:00 - 10:00pm. Starts October 6.
For beginners and those with some experience. Learn the fundamentals of colour, design and acrylic paint handling. This class is a prerequisite for Advanced Painting and Guided Studio courses.

Playing with Paint on Fabric (Adults) Fee $65
One Saturday, October 30, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Using a variety of non-toxic transparent textile paints, you will mix colors and create your own color chart for future reference. You will use these paints on cotton fabric to create your own fabrics suitable for quilts or collage. Wear old clothing/shoes and bring a lunch.
Note: This workshop is a pre-requisite for more advanced fabric painting/surface design workshops.
